it will cost around $2000
but I'm doing it through insurance, that's why I'm looking for the best job

The basic claim excess is $250

But they may charge me up to $1250, not sure yet because of my age, and the international licence issue

I'm assuming that the scratch is deep where you can't buff the scratch out? My mothers 4Runner had a deep scratch mark (Dad made drying car after dropping the towel on the ground -_-) and after apply scratch remover about 5 times, it was less visible. It was not completely gone but only visible at certain angles with direct sunlight.

If the scratch is deep to the white well guess going to professional paint shop is the way to go.

Sorry to hear that this s#!+ happened to you and your car =(

I would like to know on the insurance assessment process...

I got a bad deep scratch just like ASHRAF but it was back in 2006, I have since tried to touch up the scratch with touch up paint and polish it back etc...

Will the insurance assessor allow that or will I have to scratch my car somewhere else to claim for the repainting?

Cheers
