Factory Sound System and iPod
Hi everyone!
Even though I'm 34, I just got my first car... a Yaris hatchback! Great car, love it! But since I got it a few weeks ago I stopped using my iPod (no more bus for me!). There was an iPod auxiliary cable option but at $330 Canadian (I'm from Montreal), its the price of a new iPod! Anyway, I have the Factory Sound System cd installed (08600-00980). According to this site's review of the Yaris http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...is.aux.500.jpg There's an auxiliary entry just behind the front dash. My question is: If I take out the front dash of my Yaris, will I find this auxiliary entry so I can add a cable there and plug my iPod for it to play on my Factory Sound System even though there is no AUX button? Thank you! |

BTY thats a sedan pic. The AUX for the hatch is usually by the park brake. Depending on the HU. You Can buy it and run it yourself. I say It's cheaper to change the HU!!

I'm not sure what car you have up there, but I have a 2007 US spec sedan with the convenience package and there is an AUX plug to the right of the radio in the "pocket" you posted a picture of. I don't have any black AUX button there though, just an AUX button on the radio.
I just bought a $3 cable (male to male 3.5" jack on each side) and I can play my ipod all day long through the car and control it with the radio's AUX button. |
