I have copies of the US, European, Asian, and general market electronic parts catalogs. They have the ability to decode the VIN and give the details on the car.

Start by measuring the voltage on pin 40 of connector A21 on the ECM, with the ignition on, but the engine off. If it measures 12 V, then it it worth a shot, if it doesn't, then stop there.

Since you are willing to experiment and put some money into trying to get cruise control on your car, another option, which I believe will work on the European Yaris, is the Rostra aftermarket cruise control kit.

It is quite a bit more work to install, but it overrides the gas pedal signal itself, rather than requiring that the ECM do that. The European Yaris uses the same 6 pin connector on the accelerator pedal, with the same pinout as the US one, which is why I think that this should work.

There are two versions for the Yaris - An A/T kit ($209) and an M/T kit ($249)
