Lowering springs for 2013 Yaris?
Hello all, new to the forum but been in the car modding 'scene' for years. Anyways, my girl wants to lower her 2013 Yaris (1.5-2inches) but without spending too much money (so coils are out the window even though I strongly prefer them). Handling is not really a concern since its just her automatic daily driver so she just wants cheapish springs that lower it noticeably. I was hoping that the 2nd-3rd gen transition was more or less a facelift, but after calling Toyota they told me that lowering springs for the 2nd generation Yaris will NOT work on the 3rd generation, but on other threads some people are saying that anything 07+ will work...? Can anyone confirm whether or not the 2nd gen (XP90) and 3rd gen (XP130) Yaris can use the same springs?
If we can't use 2nd gen springs, what lowering springs will work on a 2013 5-door Yaris? The Micro Image springs looked perfect but sadly I've found that they are out of business and I can't find the springs anywhere on eBay or other sites. I found H&R springs but they're a bit pricey and only drop it about 1.3 inches. Any other options? Thanks guys! Google has been leaving me answerless with this, apologies if I just couldn't find the right thread. |

its all same from 07 to 14 and 2015 too nothing has really changed under the skin...i personally like Tein springs they give you 2 inch drop and ride awesome , also add rear TRD sway bar and you got yourself a nice setup.

Thank you! Great to hear 07+ springs are all compatible. Those should be perfect if I can convince her to pony up the extra $100 over the Manzo's. Hahaha, seems to be the case with most dealerships |

Got them for $200 brand new and have seen them go for even a couple bucks less since getting mine. |

They are usually special order items and unless it can be included in a new car deal than one is out of luck. I say find Teins , rear TRD swaybar and if you have little extra new struts and shocks ( think there is a new set of kyb's listed on here for 185$ ) i use that setup and cut down your front bump stops. |

Thanks everyone!! Glad to hear 07+ is all compatible, and yeah I'm going to try to convince her to pony up the extra $100 for the tein's over the manzo's. I already know she's not gonna be down for struts but I figure if they blow in 50k or whatever she can just get coilovers then. It's funny reading about the tein's on other threads and about how people scrape on dips and shit with them... the frame of my daily driver is literally an inch off the ground so I can't imagine -2" on a yaris being an issue
