forced induction? what type?

i have been thinking about the potions of forced induction and i have come across some things i am debating over.

1.) traditional supercharger is easy bolt on with ok power gains but definetly not as much as turbo. has power all the time with no spool up

2.) cintrifucal blower has much higher power gains than traditional super charger and still easy to instal and possibly not having to tap into the oil pan is a big plus. power all the time no spool up faster than traditional.

3.) turbo has very good power gains but a little tedious to instal and a lot of upkeep seems to be in order.

pls share your experiences with any of these... im kinda leaning toward procharger systems

thanks

I'm going to say, with all due respect, to search for the wealth of info on this forum first. Lots of lengthy threads already cover this discussion.

One fact that remains is that there is no bolt-on turbo kit for the car yet. That path is a project that requires at least some custom fabricating and tuning.

see garm another reason for you to put together a turbo kit for sale, lol. I think this is threas on billion of this. Supercharger is more pricy for the hp gain you get but again turbo is a lot of custom work. Then again people do custom 240 setups on sr's all the time really quickly and there is plenty of room in the engine bay. the hardest part is tuning and electrical.

What about like the Zage kit? I use to hear a lot about it and saw a bunch of youtube vids a while back. I know its not a big power kit like what im sure you're running at 303 but it like doubles stock power.

1.5, I'd like to see someone do that kit here in the US, but I can't comment on fitment, turbo quality, etc. unless I see one. I'll be making a kit with a Garrett T25, all high quality, brand name components, NO cheating on cheap parts.

cali, if you build a kit for the yaris I will no doubt buy it from you unless it's insanely overpriced. will your kit be made in the same design as yours just with the gt25 and a bit smaller piping?

I would go for the quad turbo set-up, 1 turbo per cylinder.... that will give you some crazy ass power

idk why you wouldn't include intercooler piping and a intercooler, i could see no management but not including stuff like that kills the point of a kit unless it's going for 1500-2000 depending on whats included.

Garm, I believe it is, if you piece together a kit to sell is it going to be a huge power based kit like what you're running or will the base model be small stable enough for a dd?
