front tow hook
It's popular around here with our Scions to screw in the front tow hook and leave it there. I tried to do that with my Yaris and it sticks out way too far.
Then, somewhere on here, I saw a tow hook in a picture (maybe a TRD one?) that folds down, totally cool. 1. Anyone know what I'm talking about? 2. Where can I get the cool tow hook, or at least a shorter tow hook? If all else fails, I'll have a shorter one made and powdercoated so I have what I want.

Nukabe makes a really nice one. I have a set for my WRX, I test fit them on and they look great. I will dig up pics of the fold down one. There is a pic in the newest Siphon of the strut tower tow hook, that one is awesome and sticks up out your hood.

This is the one that I was talking about, it is made by Prova/Eiffel and is load bearing. You can get it from Fizz Autosports. It's not on the site, but if you give them a call, they have them.
Here is the one that sticks up out of the hood. You normally don't have to cut the hood, it usually is in the seam between the fender and hood. |

ok, follow up. Fizz Autosports said they don't have one that fits a Yaris.
That could just mean they don't want to see if the one they have actually fits, but regardless, I can't get it from them without knowing if it will fit my car.

Get the one in the tool bag painted, powdercoated or chromed. It'll stick out, won't retract or fold but makes a nice forward "curb" feeler. Besides...If you live in the wild wild west, it'll give you somewhere to tie'er up to the hitch'n post.

or go to local machine shop with stock tow hook and show them a picture of the one you want and ask if they will fab you one up, then see how much it would cost to duplicate a few of them and sell them to ppl on Yarisworld to make a few bucks.

Or, get something from any of the options from the above stated then organize a group buy with one of the companies ^^ =P

I wonder if there is an xA tow hook that would possibly work on a Yaris
