anyone try these out yet?
I know this might have been talked about before but i haven't been able to find any threads from my searches. http://cgi.ebay.com/6-Big-brake-cali...QQcmdZViewItem
After getting rims (since I don't race i don't need real big brake kit..too costly) I was thinking about getting these just for show since I don't want to paint my stock ones and think big brake kit calipers look nice on a car with rims (my opinion.) Then I might get some brake discs after. Anyways if anyone has tried these please let me know. Any and all comments are acceptable good or bad =P

they look pretty good, yeah, but it's a bit of a ricey poser mod. I like to compare these to stuffing a sock in your underwear to impress the ladies...
But it's up to you really, I'd just say paint the stock calipers red (or even blue, would be nice with your car's scheme), and maybe a decal...

Painted stock calipers are the car equivalent of stuffing socks down your jeans to look like you have something bulging. Just keep it simple, they are still small...brakes

I like the way they blur out brembo to write "free decal" to avoid ebay closing their auction. I wouldn't buy these, they will look like cheap shit.

They look great. Ricey? YES!, but only for the few that can tell they're not the real deal. I don't know any as I don't hang out around "Fast And the Furious" people.
No heat problem with mine as I drive like an 80 year old grandma!

Yep. Looks lame. Why don't you just buy some nicer rotors? They're cheap and effective. Better than cheap and ricey.

I think they're pretty but I would save up and buy the real deal.
But that's just me.

I do plan on buying new rotors but I also wanted a big brake kit and after seeing how expensive it is i looked for some alternative for the calipers so i found these . I'm not sure how they'd handle with my driving as I've been trying to slow down my driving for the longest time. lol
Hey W.A.S.P. do you have any covers for the rear?

Nothing like the real thing:
E-Spec big brake kit and slotted rotors.

Its about $1000 USD or therabouts. No idea of the reputation but I haven't heard bad things yet. VTTR is fairly popular here too, as far as Taiwanese brake calipers go. I haven't tried these big brake kits to know how much better they are over the stock anchors.

this reminds me when there was a fake intercooler floating around. It was just the front half of an intercooler it wasn't even a full "box" it was like someone cut it down the center legnth wise. it was pretty lame.

I can't help but giggle like a school girl at this. Look at the difference in size...that is unbelievable...the caliper covers half the rotor...lol
