i live like 20 mins from canada and go there often. usually they dont even ask what you have, etc. they just ask your citizenship then what your plans are for going into the country.

It might be cheaper to mail them to yourself?, but I would imagine they are going to tax the sh** out of them wheels.

you can claim a personal exemption up to $400 cad per person...as long as the receipt would show that the price is less than $801 cad, u should b good...

for 4 days you can bring back 400$ of stuff duty free....its not till you hit a week that it goes up to 800
if you each take 2 rims (assuming you can get them on the plane due to size and weight) then you'd have to declare them coming back to canada....if you lie about the value and say theyre 400 per 2 rims, you MIGHT get away duty free....otherwise youll have to pay duty on the value over the 400CAD you can declare duty-free seems like a pretty big imposition, but its certainly doable

you can bring back 200 dollars a day worth of goods from canada to US
i dont know where you get 100 and over gets duity unless its for canada, which i would think it would be the same as US we use to go to toronto on a weekly basis and buy crap and bring it back to buffalo and they never charged us duity as long as we where honest with them if your staying a few days you can bring back 200 duity free a day! i know this for a fact since we use to do it all the time |

all you have to do is ship them back using ups

seems like there are too many things that could go wrong w/ your plan to screw up the 50$ you might save by getting them shipped

youre likley better shipping them via UPS to a UPS store in niagara falls, new york, taking a day and going to outlet stores over there. pick them up, and declare just the stuff you bought at the outlets....assuming youre not in your yaris and can hide the rims in a trunk or something....

thats true about shipping but with shipping theyre charging about $200.00 for this set to clear custom plus the shipping and handling. and im not sure if taxes is separate... i have to go to california anyways.. so what the best way to do this.
