Wheel nuts opinion

What wheel nuts do you use ?
I do not need any expensive product just to make it look nicer than the oem nuts and also prevent from stealing the wheels.

I am thinking about this one :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/16-x-TUNER-ALL...item3365174bf0

will they fit to Yaris ?
what are the specifications of the wheel nuts for Yari ?
thanks for opinion

yes those fit.

any 12x1.5 will work. just dont use acorn nuts (ones for steelies) on mag or aluminum wheels. you need aluminum wheel lug nuts.

they have a different angle on the mating surfaces to the wheels.

While these internal drive nuts look cool, the problem with them is that water will collect inside the nuts and possibly/probably cause the lugs to rust to the nuts. Unless you have tuner wheels that need these kind of internal drive nuts, I would stick to standard capped nuts.

I am not sure what "expensive" is to you but there are McGard ($$ to $$$$) and Gorrilla ($) nuts. McGard makes spline drive nuts ($$$$) which requires a special socket. If you want aluminum lugs, Upgrade Motoring sells all kinds: http://www.upgrademotoring.com/wheels/lugnuts. But they are expensive as hell. I've been to their store and they are real car nuts and know what they are talking about.

Contrary to what Severus said, almost all acorn nuts, for steel or aluminum wheels, are interchangeable; they are pretty much standardized on a 60 degree conical seat. I say almost because some early German cars used spherical seats. Also, you do need to be careful about Toyota lug nuts for some Toyota factory wheels, however. Some Toyota wheels use a Toyota-specific shank style lug nut which is not available outside of Toyota dealers.
