Toyota's Yaris TRD

Apparently Toyota is well aware that the North American market may view the Yaris compact as wanting in the power and handling department. Stuart found a Yaris on display at the L.A. auto show tuned by Street Image with a ton of TRD parts that may address this issue directly. Highlights include 18-inch wheels, a Sportivo suspension, lightweight flywheel and mechanical LSD. Street Image, known for its tuned Scions and Avalons from SEMA, also added an Eclipse AV/Nav system and custom rear subwoofer housing.

2007 Toyota Yaris by Street Image and TRD

TRD parts:
18-in wheels
Sportivo suspension
Exhaust manifold and muffler
Lightweight flywheel

Low temp thermostat
Sport air filter
Sport oil filter
Custom cold air intake
Custom strut tower brace

TRD sport seats with unique interior trim
Eclipse audio/fideo nav system
Custom rear subwoofer housing
Custom interior light kit

I love everything about that car, it looks awesome in the last pic. Can you order these TRD parts directly from the dealer when you order your car?

The TRD parts should be directly orderable from any Toyota dealer, plus they can be installed before you pick up your new car, and the price of the parts and installation should be able to be added into any fininancing.

I absolutely agree with the comments about the convenience/advantages of ordering through the dealership. Correct me if I am wrong, parts ordered through an official Toyota dealership will normally receive the same warranty like the car itself, provided they are on the car at the time of delivery and mentioned in the car's sale contract. Not only that, their presence in the car will not normally violate the car's warranty. There may be exceptions though.
Still, I appreciate that sometimes some parts may have to be bought from other sources.

I think even you install the parts after the delivery of your car, the parts are still under warranty. But maybe only the 1 year warranty on the parts? Not the full vehicle warranty length?

some dealerships will tell you that even the Toyota OEM (TRD, TTE, etc.) parts will void your warranty if you don't have an authorized Toyota mechanic install the TRD parts.

I was told the same thing by Toyota, thats why I hesitant to get the cold air intake. It is too expensive to have them put it in.
