wire speakers into 05 echo hb
Hey guys,
My echo only came with 2 dash mounted speakers, no speakers in the doors. I really want to put some in the doors but there's no place where I could run wires into them because there are no wires going in the door. Most cars have a plastic/rubber hose thing where wires run through, but I don't! How could I run wires in my door? |

Take pictures. May have a plug there. Also take a pic of your doors

I have just found the factory hole for the wires. I think I'll be alright from here. But to you know if you can buy that plastic/rubber hose that covers the wires in between the door and the car?

I had a similiar situation. My Base model Yaris didn't come with a Radio. But it came with all the wiring and even Factory speakers.
You plan on replacing your Radio ?

K that makes it easier using a radio harness.
Where you from ? Making sure you're in the US.

Alright yeah I think that's it. Thanks. Do you know if there's a thread that explains how to get power to your new speakers? I've been looking everywhere and I can't figure it out

K lets start over.
Do you have a new headunit already or are you looking for one ? Do you have Replacement speakers or you looking ? Lets start there first. Are you willing to add an amp ? And bring your speakers to life. 4 inch speakers on the Dash Hopefully 6.5 inch speaker holes on the doors. Won't know till you remove them. I haven't bought anything yet. As for the amp, if its not necessary I'd like to skip adding one

Do you need an amp? No. It will however make your speakers sound ten times better.
Is it going to be easy to install an Amp ? INstalling an amp is like riding a bike. It'll be difficult at first but after that it gets easier. Okay let me know where you want to start and i can make suggestions. IN the end it'll be 100 percent your decision. Headunit : Budget and what features. (bluetooth, usb, 3.5 mm adapter, etc...) I'm taking an educated guess at your having 6.5 inch speaker holes in your doors. Best way to tell is if there's grills there already and you can remove the door to be certain. Your dash speakers are 4 inch speakers. If you're going to run these speakers off your headunit they will need a low RMS 35 watts RMS at the most. However if you change your mind in the future and want to add an amp then we run into problems. Like you said right now you don't have anything so something is better than nothing. I will start to put up a few speakers that will run off of the headunit power efficiently. Although you could run a 3 way set up with a component speaker system and your 4 inch dash speakers off a 4 channel amp.
