Here's one that's sure to cause some talk. How many chose the Extended Service plan, how many didn't. I wanna here your stories.

Its a Toyota so nope, I didn't get it on my tacoma either.
I did get the gap. I figure they have been around since what 96? in the uk
so knowing toyota it shouldn't need it Knock on wood

nope on both.... i only paid $12k, so i didn't feel i needed it

I would say no to ext. warranty, since it is a Toyota. Also the Yaris is really bare bone, it won't give you any trouble.

I passed on it....they said that by the time they will offer again when my warranty is about up that it will jump from 1200 to 2200-2500 however it will still be no.

I have not decided yet. I will make a firm decision on the approach of the end of the 3-year warranty. If Toyota is really as reliable as I have heard, I will probably not need it

nope, i will never buy one, it will be cheaper for me to buy whatever broke and install it myself than pay for a warrenty contract that might fuck you over in the end (aftermarket ones will try to fix your car as cheaply as possible, i just put ONE piston and head in a car because thats all the aftermarket warrenty would pay for)

If you go with the "experts", then do NOT NOT buy a warranty. Put the money into a Roth IRA (something that will actually benefit you in the long run).

I have 6 years / 100,000 miles.

I will pass the 30,000 mile warrenty in less then 3 years. I will also be running this beater commuter into the ground!

I took this six year warranty...it actually wasn't going to make a difference with the financing anyway...

I took the one that's for 100,000 miles not sure if 6 year or 10 year lol ...

Nope, It is a Toyota and I have owned 3 so far with no probolems.

Yep I did the same thing, got the extended warranty, I guess I was paranoid at the time cause I really didn't have much money after I got my car...I kept hearing you should get a extended warrenty of course they wanted my money. But yeah it was 10 dollars extra on the payments...it was/is my first brand new car so I got "suckered" in if you want to say, of course I had no problems so far and she's running smother than a babies bottom dipped in butter (sorry had to say it).

Money wasnt the issue for me... piece of mind was.

I put over 20k miles a year on my commuter cars, so extending the warenty was a no brainer.. either thru the dealership, or one of those other extension places.

I added a 1 year warranty to the 3 years that come with the car... Its a 4 yeasr lease so I wanted a 4 years waranty.... you never know :P

Yes, this makes good sense to me. A very reasonable decision in your case
