Front sway bar oem diameter

anyone know of the diameter of the oem front sway/stabilizer bar on the Yaris sedan? I'm trying to buy some PU bushings and I found these ones http://www.ebay.com/itm/161865994138...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

but I want to make sure that they fit first before I pull the trigger. Any thoughts?

Should be a 23 (23.2mm if memory serves). Hatches got a 24, while the newer cars (like our 2015) has a 24 that is tubular instead of solid like previous years. I was using the smaller sedan bar until the even softer rate tubular bar came along.

thanks Jason, do you think the link I posted would work since the bushing is strapped down with the clamp to the bar? It is listed as compatible with the sedan and I can't imagine that 0.8mm would be a big difference.

What makes you think you need them? Ton of work replacing those for pretty much zero benefit. If you just want bling put them on there and dont worry about if they fit right.

it's a cheap thing that I can do now to keep me busy and that will match nicely to PU control arm bushings down the road when my oem's go out. I have a handful of tools that will allow me to do this with the subframe still on the car. There's a nice video outlining this without dropping the subframe from someone in the UK.

I've been dying to do some work on my car and due to wedding expenses and school this is all I can really afford to do right now until the summer

Spending money on a useless part just puts you further away from meaningful items.

very true...buuuuuut it's $20...and i'm dying to get under the car again. You definitely are correct though it won't do a whole lot handling wise.

Do you think it'd be ok for one to use that PU bushing on a 23.3mm bar?

I 2nd Jason, its one of the few jobs I absolutely hate doing. Don't waste your time replaceing the bushings, basically you'll need to drop the whole front suspension for something that no one will ever be able to see.

already purchased a sandwhich plate adapter from Garm instead, ended up being the same price as what the bushings would've been and it's needed for my gauges this spring.

I'm confident I could have done the job without dropping the suspension with the right tools. It'd be a pita but should still be able to do it.

This spring I'll likely get under there and try and remove the bushing mount bolts so that I can apply some anti seize to them. I'll let you know if I was able to do it w/ out dropping the sub frame. My Echo's are corroded so bad I couldn't replace them if I wanted to.

Do you think the iQ would work on a yaris? Or vice versus since they share a lot of the same underside?

2014 and 2015 Yaris front tubular sway bars the same it seems?

Both have part#488110D150 and seem easily accessible for under $100 online and MSRP is $105.76.

If the iQ fits the Yaris as well, I stopped and picked up a digital caliper and the iQ front sway is 21.31mm according to it and solid design as far as I could tell reaching underneath quickly.
