No. We are inspecting every manifold closely, and we have to assemble the included installation kit to go with it. They are all coming from us. Sorry for the delay on the first few; the batch of breather hose that came (that will be included) was not up to our standards.
haha you're a G ^^^

nevermind...I was thinking maybe $250 or so, I could never justify $700 to myself for 5 horsepower :(

maybe when my car is paid off in 4 years IF they're still available I'd consider it.

with other mods like your exhaust you will see greater gains. Swap a 1zztb and upgrade to a sr/cai and you will see more.

not to mention theyre gorgeous

agreed, I just have this weird thing about justifying money I spend. for instance I can drop 2k on a camera...but I use it for work. anything above about $300 is out of my "impulse buy" zone.

my only other hangup about getting one (for myself, if I was someone else and had the cash I'd get it in a second) is that I live in south louisiana (about 30 miles from the gulf) and our summers are REALLY hot.

compared to the composite manifold I'd imagine this aluminum one would heat-soak much more and possibly negate any gains I'd get from it. in the very short winter we have though I'm sure it would scream :)

The dyno showed +7 whp and torque, not 5 as posted above. On a 100% stock car. Other mods will help more, as others have posted.

$100 per horsepower is very much in line with what you get from intakes, exhausts and the like. There's no magic bullet for power, unless you go turbo.

Further, we haven't seen any change in intake temps with the manifold. Customer feedback on this will be appreciated (those of you with ScanGauges, etc.)

As for the budget or buying considerations - can't help ya there.

would love to see some dyno numbers on something with an intake, header and exhaust.

btw, are there any dyno results showing a comparison to stock? the only one I saw was just a graph of the car with the intake on it. I'd really like to see how the low-end torque curve stacks up against stock. That's one thing I love about my Yaris is the low-end torque for such a small motor and I really wouldn't want to sacrifice that...on the other hand if it bumps low-end torque that'd be another plus in my book.

Just think of all the "psyco-therapy" the manifold will provide. Had a bad day....just pop open the hood and pull up a chair. It will listen to all your problems, and the cool factor will make all the bad stuff go away. :) Nice piece Garm and crew.

Boomsha, boomsha, boomsha! We billet! We bad! Boomsha, boomsha, boomsha!

So far, I'm the only one here who is running an aluminium intake manifold (but not for long! )... and in really hot weather, the gas mileage is noticeably higher.

When you turn off a hot engine, the manifold does get blazing hot because the aluminium acts exactly like a heat sink radiating heat from the head. But when I'm driving, there is a lot of air flowing past the tubing runners to dissipate the heat, so as far as I can tell that it doesn't make any detectable difference in performance.

A hotter intake manifold acting as another radiator also means a cooler engine which reduces the load on the cooling system.

Uh hum...I've been running a WR unit for a couple of years. :) Sorry. Yup, hot soak sucks in the stop and go. I've gotta get one of those insulating gaskets. A few new openings in my car should also help keep things breezy at all speeds.

post 251 shows both. I don't think we posted a dyno with one line on it, but maybe.
We got +8 on one pull, but it wasn't as consistent or smooth as the one posted. Suffice to say there is a real gain to be had, even on a stock car.

"boomsha". LOL, you guys are great.
