So my current mod I did for today was black chrome tint my headlights I was going to go with a strait tint film but I still wanted to retain the headlights reflectiveness from the chrome and gave it a rather unique look. It ended up coming out exactly as I envisioned.

This was the product I used it comes in a kit with the black chrome tint and clear coat

Same product I used in my other post for my emblems http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45300

And Here is how it looked before on the stock headlights

And after the black chrome tinting

And this is with the eyelids with black chrome tint

So here is a side by side comparison you can see how the light reflects of the headlight a little different than if you use just a typical headlight tint film. I went ahead and put only 2 very light coats of the tint and then 4 coats of clear coat. All the pictures I am currently posting the lenses have not been wet sanded and polished yet, I expect them to give a bit more gloss. Since they are clear coated they should be able to take a automotive paint wax to give the lenses even more of a shine as well as UV protection from fading.

When I took the headlights out I noticed there is already a factory spot to mount a HID ballast

So I came up with the idea of using 2 zip ties and some screws and washers to make a proper mount to hold the ballast to the headlight, I was going to use mounting tape but the ballast wasn't a perfect fit and wouldn't stay flat. With the zip ties its easy to remove and replace if my ballast ever burn out down the road so its a less permanent install.

Zip tied the wires along the factory wires for a super clean install looks almost like thast the way it came from the factory.

Since i had my eyelids off I took the time to clear coat them as well

And it turns out good I didnt waste my mounting tape one roll was just barely enough to do my eyelids

And here they are installed. I think it came out perfect. It has just enough of a toned down shade that it looks almost factory and wont attract cops.

I also modified my center cap I wasnt a fan of the chrome konig ones and there was nothing available in black so i decided to make my own!

First i had to remove the sticker in the center and it turns out it was covering a hole in the middle, I then fiberglased over it and sanded down the top part lip.

Ive been tinkering with the idea of converting to a single wiper blade since the passanger side is only a 13 and dosnt do much. I like the style and look of the wipers from the honda civic heres a comparison

You should definitely do it, I like the single blade that comes with the '12s.

My front lip did the same thing as yours where it sags lower on one side even though the mounting points are even lol

Did you do your tail lights from the outside, or did you take them apart? I've got the same paint you have and I like the outcome on your lights.

What paint did you end up using for your taillights? VHT nightshade? I am comtemplating doing this myself.
