Is the spacer mandatory for this swap? I have an mr2 spyder here and I’m wondering if I should just go ahead and take the sensor and TB

Hello, Thank you for putting together these details. i was able to swap my TB with your valuable info. I need help with the size of the coolant hoses, I ordered couple on amazon but none of them are the right size. for now, i bypassed the coolant lines. can you please share any link where you got them or the size. appreciate your help.

I'd be interested in this too - mine is also a 1nz-fe 1.5 t sport (UK). I think the tb mount is only three bolts

I think this is my next mod, these throttle bodies are cheap over here in NZ.

has anyone mounted the 1zz airbox too so the intake size matches? does it/would it fit?

you would probably scare the mass airflow sensor with the corolla intake

Fair enough, I also read you can remove the throttle lag with a celica pedal swap? You read about this before?

i did not see that post ill look for it, i dont see how a pedal would help with throttle lag, but i ended up taking the oem celica pedal pad and epoxied and screwed it on the oem yaris pedal

https://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=27172, i know of this one i was looking to solve my heel toe issue and came across this thread but i did not screw around with the lexus pedal i just took the aluminum pad and shaved it down flat on the back side and then epoxied and screwed it into the stock yaris pedal, it works very well and is sturdy and not going anywhere. i highly recommend getting a oem celica gts pedal and trying it, also get a spare gas pedal from a junkyard so if you screw up you dont fuck up your good gas pedal

Yeah smart, will do. Im pretty sure I seen in on 4wd upgrades for hiluxs with the same "laggy throttle" and them swapping them for celica ones which they said had a more "sporty throttle map". I can't find the video now tho for the life of me tho.

Need some advice, so I did a 1nz to 1zz throttle body swap and after successful completion of the swap I did a retune, however my car won't pass 188kmh @ 5500rpm. Before the swap I was going 210kmh at close to 7000rpm. Why is my car limited to that top speed after the swap? NB. This car is a 2016 vitz Gs, mods replaced headers, cold air intake with K&N filter, 2 inch pipe from the resonator. 115hp before mods, 123hp after mods.
