How to add DRL to an 09 LB?
I just read this thread on how to disable them:
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=894 I haven't seen a Yaris around here with them or I never really noticed, but I would really like to add it. Does anybody know if it's just a matter of adding the relay? |

I think he wants us to read it for him and tell him all the important stuff he should know.

the yaris is prewired from what i understand, meaning ALL you have to do is buy the relay and plug it in...

For some reason, I was thinking this was standard on the '09 models, but then looking
over the specs of my car, it came with the All-Weather Guard Package. I'll be curious to find out how easy it is to add to other cars. |

If you want to have DRLs on a non DRL Yaris, I'd suggest doing my Headlights off with Ignition mod. It's definitely way less expensive. Also, based on how the DRL module is integrated and the EWD differences between with and without I think there's a decent amount of wiring to add the module. Also the side benefit with my mod is that you'll never kill your battery by accidentally leaving the headlights on...

Or, another option is just to get in the habit of turning your lights on and off when you drive the car. I do it in all my vehicles, having traded in my last DRL-equipped car for the Yaris.

I have DRL's and I turn mine on as soon as I start the car from habit anyway. That's just how I learned to drive.
