Upgraded Spark Plugs For Boost
I'm installing the blitz supercharger in less than 2 weeks, what spark plugs i should upgrade to?
I know nothing about spark plugs other than they ignite the compressed gas and air in the piston chamber. unless u have a diesel engine and u dont have spark plugs. |

Just look at the heat range on the stock plug and go with a set of spark plugs that are 1 step colder

I will email you your installation manual and wiring guides, whooppee -- it will answer these questions....and give you something to do for the next two weeks...

i'm in a different world too, with a lot more fuel being dumped into the engine.. i'll be switching back to Denso IK22's shortly, once i feel my a/f ratios are consistantly where i want them.

Who said Yaris was slow?

^^^
That is a common practice from people with high power turbo cars (Supras , Skylines) They usually use cheap copper plugs for the tunning process as the usually will kill a bunch of plugs on their long dyno sessions. So there is no point on throwing expensive plugs in. The copper ones will perform almost the same as the higher priced IRIDIUMS... they just won't last long. Once they are all set with their tune... they just replace the copper plugs with the Iridiums. Another common advice is: For forced induction applications, use either copper plugs or Iridium plugs. But nothing in between like platinum. |
