don't pretend no a/c means anything where you live until you are willing to blow your children's brain's out.

See, stupid comparisons aren't so easy now, are they?

Wanted to jump in say hey to the fellow Florida Yaris owners and show off my new SE. Particularly my one little gripe about it in the front. What is up with that plate niche being 5.5" tall and 15.5" wide? What are some good things to do with that beings that I don't need an official plate there and the standard American size is too narrow or too tall and European size is too big?

It must be a Florida thing, although if the dealer had that awesome blue color 12yaris has, I may have taken that since it would match the seats.

Leaving the front bumper stock is a simple solution, but my personality will not allow it, it just seems unfinished....wanting. If I had the skills to cut out the back and pull it forward to match the front so it was all nice and uniform I would, but that's a difficult change to go back on.

A friend suggested getting a TRD sticker of appropriate size and sticking it onto a plate of brushed aluminum so it fit right in and would make the front flush and add a bit more contrast.

In the future I want to add some white light inside the grill to add some more 2nd kind of cool to the front. Intake, exhaust, sway bar, soundproofing and audio will also be addressed. Just need to get the funds. And the expertise, hopefully some of which will be learned from here.

Thanks,
Just painted foglight covers, and lower grill the color of the car.
Also painted the rear reflectors the color of the car.
They no longer look like an afterthought.

Sorry, have to agree with barber...there are people here who have removed their A/C unit. I've felt the weight of the A/C unit and the blower unit doing a mod...and THAT is weight.

LED indicator lights on the mirrors is not unnecessary weight to affect your mpgs/auto-x results, etc..... Sure, it will have electrical problems later on, that i agree. Now...unless they were power folding mirrors like in Japan...then the motor could add some weight...but just LED indicators by themselves.

FYI, i have weighed a set with stock and with one....please provide proof lol.

I painted them, still thinking about doing something different
the upper grill. I was going to install an aftermarket bumper cover at a later
time, however spending the extra money on a cover isn't worth it,so I opted to paint it.
I'm also thinking of painting eye brows on the tail-lights.

When we got our new Yaris...

...we had no choice but to take the AC because it was the only car available with a 5 speed. I'd rip it out in a nanosecond except that it's my wife's ride. At least I still get the fun of tricking out the car, and am hoping that the AC fails so that I'll have an excuse to remove it.

Yes, please do. I'd love to see the end result as I've considered doing exactly the same.
