Fitting amplifier to Yaris head unit
Hi I am fitting an amplfier to power some rear speakers in my wife's Toyota Yaris. I have run all the cables and fitted the amplifier under the drivers seat. As I'm just using the standard head unit I have got some high to low phono converters. However I have never done this before and am in need of some desperate help with connecting this cable. I will cut into the front speakers but am not exactly sure how to identify the front speaker wires.
Therefore can anyone help me with a basic guide to identify the front speaker wires. The car is a 2004 model Yaris. The left front speaker (+) is a pink wire which I found but I don't know what the (-) one is. Purple? if so which one. I also need to find the remote wire to connect to the amp. I've been told this is blue but not sure which one as there is more than one. There are two adapters which feed into the back of the head unit. One which has 3 wires (red, blue and black). what are these wires for? Any help you can provide me with would be much appreciated - perhaps a diagram or something..... It's probably quite simple it's just that I haven't done this before. Don't really want to change the head unit as my wife just wants to keep the standard factory look. Thanks in advance. |
