Please post pics of your Yaris with aftermarket springs here
I'm probably the worst worrier and least compulsive buyer on this forum, so I figured since we have anaftermarket wheel thread and coilover threads, to make this. If everyone participates I feel it would be a great help to me and future spring buyers.
Basically post a pic(s) of your car and simply state which springs they are and how far it dropped/how you like them/your ride results. If enough people post pics and text, this could be a very helpful sticky for us who have not yet gotten aftermarket springs. Finally, it would be a great tool to prevent so many future spring question threads from being made. (From me and others/Pot calling kettle black) haha. |

Tanabe DF210's with 17x7 +42 wheels, running 205/45/17 tires.
I love the DF210's, lower the car a little less than 2". (1.8/1.6 F/R). I only rub when parked and cutting the wheel all the way, otherwise I don't rub at all. (even with 4 passengers) I love these springs and they definitely stiffen the car, but are still a comfortable ride. Last edited by 33OH; 05-01-2009 at 03:20 PM. |

ryank, the important thing you didn't mention is that you're running 205/45/17's.

Eibach Pro-Kit Springs
Here's mine; Montegi SP5 Staggered 17 x 7 Alloy Wheels, H&R 10mm Rear Wheel Spacers, 205/40R-17 Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grid XL, Eibach Pro-Kit Springs.
Not too low, just right (for me) and the ride is slightly stiffer, but still comfortable for a daily driver. Excellent handling and steering response. I recommend Pro-Kits if you want a moderate drop and not a slammed look. Absolutely no tire-to-fender rubbing issues.

That looks really good. Imo, if you have some nice wheels and a body kit, a great drop isn't needed. That looks great with just a medium drop.

Tanabe DF210 springs, stock shocks, 215/45/17 tires. Springs need to be stiffer for how much they lower the car IMO. The tires hit the fender lining on dips/bumps in the road all the time. Also going with some 205 size tires once these wear out.

Is that a MicroImage grill? If so, did you have it painted? Cheers! M2 |

Here's a few of my car on Tanabe DF210, stock shocks with some different wheels to show wheel gap.
Stock 15s: Motegi MR7 17x7, no clue what tires I had on them, sorry. Finally Volk CE28N 14x5.5 with Falken Azenis 195/60-14 Ride was great with them, and only had some rubbing with my 17s on rear dips with passengers, as well as with the stock 15s. Drop with them is perfect IMO for looks, although I had to go lower when I got my Volks on. |

- Pedders Sports Ryder Coil Springs
- Stock Shocks - Drop Height Estimated I think they were rated about 35mm drop. So 1.5inch or so, but seem to have settled more in the fronts now. Rear is not as nice looking as a DF210 drop. But at least it does not rub. - Ride Quality feels comfortable if the roads are fairly good. Does feel abit stiff on bad roads. - Tyres 215/40/17 Marangoni Tyre (Zeta Linea range)

Would you guys mind posting a comment on how your spring set-up rides?
Comfortable, too stiff, harsh, bone-jarring, etc.? The information might be useful for people wanting to evaluate what springs to buy. TIA.
