2008/2009 yaris hatch. Looks different?

Hello all, i own a 2009 yaris hatch..3 door. My question is, has anyone noticed or knows for a fact that the 2009 body is different then 2008s?

Like, mine seems more fatter near the sides and back of the car, then the 2008s...and mine looks different from the side.

Like when you look at my car from the front, it has a "cute" experession. But when i look from the side a bit, the lights look like bug eyed and all lol.

I dont know if its just me, or if they have changed and made the yaris bigger/fatter, but it just doesnt look like any other yaris ive seen!

size should be the same..although the headlight got that weird curve on the hood side and of course the bumper , grill add on front and rear lip is the difference..also i believe they added side view mirror heaters!!

Maybe you purchased at Honda Fit? just kidding :D

The differences from the 2009 and earlier ones are the headlights, taillights, front and rear bumpers.
The bumpers may be why yours might look fatter? The "S" model looks really different from the earlier "S"
model and they added a 5-door Liftback to the line up.

I also notice the place where the fog lights would go in (that black cover) is different.
I own 2009, but I like 2007&2008 look better :(
Oh, and the speedometer is different too.
2007&2008 had nice blue color, but 09 is orange...
At least, 09 shows what gear you're in on that screen.

My 2008 auto shows what gear you are in. P, R, D, etc. It's located just above the odometer.

My 2008 LB has orange illumination, I believe you are thinking of the sedan version which had the luminescent dash gauges.

Orange is actually better for your eyes when you're driving at night. It blends in with the red brake lights in front of you, and so doesn't shock your eyes that bad.

What are you an optometrist (that means eye doctor)?

Since you don't know what the hell you're talking about, here are some facts:
What is the best light that will provide your eyes, and brain with the best light for reading? The answer is a dim white light. Look inside any of the new jets, and you will find that the lighting is white. Military cockpits specify NVIS (Night Vision Imaging System) White. NVIS White appears to have a green tint, but it is a full spectrum light.

The best light choice is NVIS White, followed by soft white, for a light that will protect your central night vision and provide full spectrum light. Green and Blue will protect central night vision as well, but blues and greens will disappear with this color of light - something for a pilot to consider prior to use. Red is also available, which will protect peripheral night vision, but not central vision as well as the soft white, blue and green. Red's on charts will also not be visible with red light, another consideration for the pilot to consider when making a color choice.

So no, orange is NOT "better for your eyes" while driving at night. If all you want to do is run up your post count, at least don't do it with b.s.
