Its the new 1NR-FE engine. Its available in europe since 2009.

Dual VVT-i
1329 cc
74 kW / 101 HP @ 6000 rpm
132 nm / 97.28 lbft @ 4000 rpm
Fuel economy 55.39 mpg (with Stop & Start system switched on/6 speed manual)

hmmm 1.3l that makes 101hp... and gets 55mpg... wow (those are imperial gallons though right?)

I took this information from the Toyota UK site, i am not into this gallon/mile stuff. I guess its about 45 mpg for US?

It's a 1.4 D-4D engine : 90bhp and 190Nm
It has a turbo with intercooler.



And now with "P-Tronic", the additional diesel performance chip for engine tuning : 117bhp and 244Nm
