1.8 in a an echo?!?!?!?

anyone ever heard of it being done? or have links or info

ive been eyeballing some things and it seems that it would be similar to doing a 1.8 yaris, with the need of some rolla and XD parts, but the echo is throttle CABLE not fly by wire, so it would have to be an early rola 1.8

literally looking this info up more for the XB1 as ive dug thru it enough to be able to definitively say that 100% a XB1 is toaster on an echo chassis...the thing is the xb forums SUCK for this, those guys dont mind going slow n low they are less into engine mods...so if i can find someone who did an echo odds are it would be close enough for me to work with or maybe even be the exact same swap....engine mounts are the only "unknown" of xb vs echo

for reference echo vs xb1, same fans, rad, ac condensor, throttle body, engine, fuse box, engine harness..ive visualy verifyed that the rear axle is also the same as an echo..save for possibly the spring pockets

Hey how about putting a 1 L in a Yaris or an echo? I’d be down for that!

4WD Yaris were all 1.3L, early ones were the 2SZ-FE, later ones(facelift gen 2 and gen 3) had the 1NR-FE.

Europe and the UK got both the 1SZ-FE and 1KR-FE so in theory you could get the engine harness and ECU from there for either powertrain.
