I was out bashing today and blew a rod. So I thought I would show everyone here where all my money goes!

Bet you all though I was talking about the Yaris weren't you?

I think that SIRIO sells a piston, rod and sleeve combo for the TRX, suppose to be bad ass, also i would upgrade that cheap Traxxas filter with a Motor Saver filter

I have a motor saver for the revo, all the spare parts you see in pic 3 are from a jato I am building. But I think I'm going to go back to big block with this guy.

hahaha...don't get into R/C's, Charles. It will eat your money. I spent well over $600 (and this is a low estimate) back in the day.

I never owned a nitro R/C, but the fuel lasts anywhere between 10-15 minutes, at least with the street cars.

I got a laugh at this.

Fuel lasts pretty long about two months before it oxidizes, if you ment run times I have a 250cc tank and the big one it will last as long as 30 minutes, or longer if your running too lean like the engine above.

I was thinking of trying out electric soon, the whole lithium battery thing scares me, there's a trend with those batteries involving fire.

Nitro just has the instant power and long run times I'm after, that and I like the smell.

Hi guys, I know nothing about this hobby. BUT, I have this laying around in a box with a bunch of extra parts and an electric starter thing, etc.

What is this? Is it any good? Is it worth something?

Stick with nitro. Better performance imo. Also, if you do go electric, make sure you switch out the stock Tamiya plugs for some dean plugs. The run time will be longer and you'll get little more in the performance section too.

Is it a 1/8 or 1/10 scale? I'm going to assume it's not a touring car since the rear tires are extra wide (unless you just put them on???).

It looks like a single belt system (oppose to my electric's two belt drive system). Aside from that, I can't really say much (don't own a nitro, that's why).

cali: where'd that come from ? If it was stored for a long time, and the engine has not been lubbed... the crank might be ceased.

anyhow, this one look like a 1/12 or 1/10 scale RWD race car. They should race on a flat surface like the F1 cars...

this one looks complete... find the remote, and some AA batteries.. some nitro and it's good to go! as long as the engine is still in running conditions....

It has the remote and a bunch of baggies with parts - suspension, engine, etc. more wheels and "tires" too.

It does look to be RWD, and yes a flat surface would be good - this thing sits about 5mm off the ground.

I'm not really interested in running it, just wondering what it is and if it's worth anything to sell.

[ sorry to thread jack, but you guys in this thread seem to know about this kind of thing, especially the OP]

Looks almost antique. Do you know the maker? I would say 1/10 scale carpet car. If its yours get it cleaned up like crazy and post it anywhere and everywhere. Some guys pay crazy dollar for older "project" "shelf queen" material. That things got a lot of aluminum to make it worthy.
