Thanks cali,

I might be wrong cali about your car. I have been looking through some forums for some older model carpet cars and haven't had any luck figuring it out. I don't really know much about on-road stuff. I spend most of my time around dirt. If you get me a manufacturing name I could get you a price, I have a local guy who is full of useless knowledge.

This is probably a stupid question, but is there anyway one could incorporate VTEC in this thing?

How about a small supercharger or turbo kit?

Just to give you an idea of what this cars are worth, here's an updated model of a 1/8 scale just like yours, and remember that the price showing is without engine and electronics http://cgi.ebay.com/Mugen-MRX4X-MRX-...3286.m20.l1116

I know the nitros have this little thing that gives it an extra kick. I don't know what it's called or even if it actually provides extra oomph.

Yeah, R/C's aren't cheap, especially if the chassis is made of CF.

I think its a 1/8 scale outdoor car made by serpent (kind of like the one below). It has a two speed, but the engine needs a rebuild. I didn't take a close enough look at the engine to know what make it is, or how much it needs to get running again, though the crank was movable.
