This thread is what gave me the idea. I have no idea if the adapter bracket will work on a 2nd gen as its an OEM part for the Vitz NCP131.

its worth keeping my eye out for one...tho not sure what he means about pin secure but probably doesnt matter by the sounds of it

Not on the DBW pedals. Probably meant on the cable throttle Toyotas as the Lexus IS300 pedal swap is popular on MR2s and such.
