Question Stupid question about the LB trunk

Couldn't find a thread on this, so as usual if one does exist please post a link. Thanks.

What are those 2 panels on top of the spare-tire lid that "open-up"? What are they for?

So I guess I should stop using them as drag flaps to slow me down

Thanks PK, now it makes a little more sense

On the board that lays over the spare tire area in the trunk, it has flaps that pull open. I think it only lays flat though if you have the 60/40 split seats that laydown completely flat. If you have the one piece rear seats, I don't think it will lay nice and flat on them.

The more you know... I was wondering how to correct that little gap problem when the seats are folded down. Didn't even realize those flaps exist. I'll use them today! Thanks PK!

for ze gaps when you slide the chairs forward.... plus it helps when you got dirty or sharp things in your trunk and you dont want to damage ze seats.

Some pics ?

The two panels are used to fill the space to make a flat floor.

For the RS the back seat are 60/40. Either party can move forward or backward too.

sorry for the poor quality images, windy and snow here

Will 60/40 seats bolt in if i wanted to install them? I just have the regular rear one piece bench seat. If you can infact install the 60/40, what parts do you need for it?

Franck_Qc, I applaud you. Top marks for going out while it was snowing to take photos to explain something to a guy on the forum that you've probably never met.

No, less snow this year. We broke a record snow last year with 545 cm (215 inches). The average is 350 cm (138 inches).

And thanks for my city
