2018 Toyota Yaris 'Air Recirculation' Mode

Hello,

Today I tried the A/C in my Yaris. The A/C recommends and has an icon to use the 'Air Recirculation' Mode. However, when I press the Recirculation button, the button only lights while i select it and then goes off.

I thought that as long as I had the recirculation mode selected, the light would stay on. I figure that with the light off, it defaults back to ouside air intake?

I am a newbie with this sytem...i could use your advice about this, if you don't mind.

Thank you.

On my 2007 the recirculation or out side fresh air. It is set by the mechanical mode dial and the center button turns the Air Conditioner On and Off.
With the AC On. I can set the dial to ether mode.

Are you asking about a 2018 from your subject title or 2006 from your displayed users information?

I found a 2018 Yaris users manual. You should be able to find it in a web search if you need it.
The button functions are given for different 2018 configurations.
With out cooling and dehumidifier button or with cooling and dehumidifier button.
Can you tell us which configuration you have and I can look in the manual.

As far as I remember on the NCP131s(2012-2019 hatch), recirculation mode only works on certain vent settings. Try it with your air direction set all the way to "face" only.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks for your advice, everyone. I will try the different vent settings and see if that works.

I just updated my profile from the old 2006 Yaris which met an untimely death while waiting at a yield sign and getting rear-ended. The 2018 is my new one, and I still love the Yaris!

Thanks again for your help!

That's it! 'Face Only' For Vent setting

You hit it right on! It only works with 'Face Only' Vent Setting. Perfect.

Thanks again everybody!
