Just wanted to share this: turbo 1NZFE
Found this, a turbo 1NZFE. The car is a Thai Vios, a Southeast Asia market-only car. It has basically the same internals as the old Echo. Here's an excerpt: Quote:

Υοu can have the same result with a TTE supercharger and you keep the warranty intact!

that's one of the reasons the 1NZ cant be force fed large pressures is the compression ratio...

as far as I understand shorter piston rods would reduce the compression ratio, right?

Better off changing the pistons to change the compression or simply rechamber the head domes.

You'll see TRD USA with a FI option within a year in the states.

Case in point, look at the demographic this forum feeds off of. How much money is spent on YW.com alone in a week on the Yaris aftermarket? Better yet, ask the sponsor's wallets. But yes, when TRD does come out with a FI kit, I agree... it is going to be one expensive box. |

Well it will be expensive, but you get to keep the warranty!

Thicker head gaskets work as well, so long as you dont buy them from 'Freds Discount Gaskets'....
This doesnt usually net you too much in the CR department, only helps. If your going to rebuild the engine look at buying a totalled xB and pull the motor. |

Just to give an impression of the performance difference with a Vios Turbo...
About a week ago, my friend and I went to pick up another friend from the airport. Keep in mind none of us are lightweights, between 80 to 90kg each. Anyway we're on the way home, my friend is driving, the other friend just shooting video of the sights, and a Vios turbo zooms past... We tried to catch up, and you can see the rest for yourself here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOa_z73WDGQ
