Trying to figure out new wheels
Hey y'all.
I got a 06 5dr hatch lowered on this bilstein kit. https://t1motorsports.ca/products/bi...suspension-kit Been hummin and hawing about new wheels. Worried about rubbing but I think I'm being too cautious. Would a 15x6.5 +35 offset with maybe a 195/55r15 on it be safe? Mostly concerned about the poke. Here's some pics how it's sitting in the front on 175/65r14x5.5 +46. Thanks! |

flush fitment would be 16x7 +35, so your 6.5 would be tucked in

i run 195/50/14s no issue, my snow tires are 205 50 15 on XB wheels which is a tad more offset than stock and no rub from either
imo if you get good tires you dont need to go wider than a 195 or 205 anything wider is just going to hurt the fact that youve got little torque to work with in the first place...and try and stick with light wheels |

I wanted to go 5X114.3 PCD to put the R32 GTR wheels (16X8 et+30), but I think I'd just go with some CP22 still 5X114.3 PCD, but they're 16X7 et+35. Yeah they have them in 4X100, but they just don't look right.

Ended up biting the bullet and got some avid1 av-08s with 195/55r15 yokohama advan flevas! Very Excited to see how it looks, thanks guys.
Gonna be a bit taller of a setup but I dont think it should rub and I got some camber bolts that should make it safe. |

I was going to say don't worry too much with the 195/55R15 tires being a bit taller. One of the OEM wheel/tire combo is 185/60R15, which is taller than what you picked, but would make you go faster (about 2MPH) than what's indicated by your speedometer if your speedometer is dialed for 175/65R14. |

there is always a bit of "wiggle" in a speedo acuracy to make up for slight changes in tire size so dont stress it....mine came with the stock tall skinny 14s..terrifying tires lol
having worked tires for a good while...i can tell you that +/- 1 inch of tire is small enough to not even notice a change in speedo..and in alot of cases 2 inches is still within spec, once you get outside that you WILL see changes...as those changes are more noticed at speeds above 60mph |

My car is dialed for the 175/65R14 tires, and I have 185/60R15 tires, which makes my speedometer inaccurate, I'm actually going 62MPH when me speedo is reading 60MPH. I bought a different speed sensor gear, which is supposedly for the bigger tires, but it's a PITA to get off the transmission.
I got a HUD from my Brother-in-law for Christmas, and I'm happy with it, because now I have a tachometer as well as an accurate speedo. |

i feel like the "tach equiped" dashes stay more acurate with tire changes somehow....you need to swap your dash!!!
