Headlight assembly replacement question

Hi all! I want to replace the headlight assemblies on my 2010 Yaris liftback. If I do so, will I have to re-aim the headlights or won't the aim be affected? TIA!

Before you install the new headlight assemblies, park in front of your garage with your lights on and mark on the garage where the beams hit with painters tape. After you install the new assemblies, turn on your lights and see if the beams hit the same area where you previously marked. Make adjustments as necessary.

So that is an affirmative?

But really thanks! That is a great tip! My headlights are yellowed (I'm guessing) on the inside since I used plastic polish and it didn't help. Anybody ever see cool looking headlights for a 2010-ish Yaris hatchback?

Not necessarily, that's why you check first. Sometimes the new assemblies will be spot on, sometimes not.

more often than not they are pre-aimed, or i should say "designed" to be at correct aim on assembly, and that the aiming is to really fix bulb and mold deviations

do the spec'ds goto 2010?
