Tein Basis set up

Just got my Tein basis installed this past weekend. I drop an inch in the front and inch an half in rear. The ride is like jump up,jump up and get down. Every time I ran of uneven surface road feels like lift up and pulls down.

I just wondering is the Tein shock or spring kinda soft. I don't feel its like stiff ride. The only thing I feel now when I take the conner is no more body roll.

I am riding with 195/60/15 stock. I don't wanna spend any more money upgrade the rims. I am thinking go with 185/55 low profile tires. Match the steel wheel width.

Any advice? Thanks!

Perhaps you should state what your overall goal is.

I can tell you I went from a completely stock vehicle in the following stages to where it is now with Tokico reds front and back, Eibach Pro springs, TRD rear sway bar, 16x7 wheels and 205/50/16 tires:

1) Replaced the stock tires and wheels with the above and noticed better handling immediately due to the wider stance of the 16x7 wheels, more offset (moved the tires out from the center of the wheel well) and wider tires.
2) Replaced struts/shocks, springs, added sway bar and put the adjustable Tokico reds on 2 turns less than full hard. This is the ultimate race feel IMO as the car is very stiff and handling is extremely responsive.

Where do you want to be in terms of handling and responsiveness and ride quality?

Did you change the springs and shocks? If your running stock shocks? it will bounce.

I'm of the belief that springs make a 20% difference in ride, where as shocks are the other 80%.

I am running Tein basis coilover setup. Its not like soft and bounce. It could be the stock tire I'm running now 195/60. Its bounce when I hit a bump and uneven surface.

How dose the stiff ride feels like?
