Aftermarket engine dipstick
Just noticed today that the engine oil dipstick was plastic!! but the tranny dipstick is metal?? Thats kinda cheap but does anyone know if there is an aftermarket dipstick available?

Looks like your sedan has all the same options as our silver, stick-shift LB.
Our 2006 4Runner has a metal dipstick with a yellow plastic handle. Noticed the Yaris has an "S" shaped dipstick tube (a double bend). Might be the reason for the more flexible plastic dipstick. When I checked our Yaris' oil yesterday, the dipstick's shape looked like a medical abnormality!!! FYI: The 4Runner's dipstick goes into a tube with a single bend, and it's sometimes a challenge to get it in there. |
