Rear SE axle beam swap
Have any one done a Yaris SE rear axle beam swap? If you had done one, please give a list of parts I need. Post some pictures please.
Thx! |

what, swapping JUST the beam? Most of the swaps are complete off a junker...give or take the 2 ebrake cables.
you can get more info on swapping off this theory thread. my post #5 isnt much a theory, more of a laundry list of what the rear disc setup is made out of. http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...rear+disc+swap |

nothing, really. you might prefer a more front bias again and get an SE brake booster and proportioning valve, but really isn't needed. (i seem to forget if there's something else under the hood related to that booster area)
setup as is, the swap will make your rear brake pad last as long as your fronts. |

But, like WeeYari stated, maybe it "looks cooler" with disc brakes on the rear. |

Imo if Jason, Tom others can track/race their Yaris' on stock drums, then there's no reason for rear discs other than looks

ease of mainentence and suchs. have you ever seen a drum brake its a pain in the butt to get new shoes on and their is four of them. not just one or two pads like on a disc break caliper.
