Wow, your car looks really nice. You must be stoked!

Rims are amazing, I just wish they came in true gunmetal. I was excited that these would be the rims for me, and they are... just not the right color. Bummer.

The Helium is a nice wheel if you are on a budget.

My only gripe I have with the Helium is that the spoke does not reach the edge of the rim as close as I would like it to.

Compared to say, Work Emotion CR Kai, the spoke on the Helium is about 1/2 to 3/4" shorter from the edge of the rim. Because of this, it makes the wheel look slightly smaller than it really is.

That's why I went two sizes up, from 15 to 17" so the difference in appearance would be noticeable.

Still looks good in my eyes, and thanks for all the compliments online and offline :)

I think that's because you used a tire one size smaller. Shouldn't you be using 215/40/17??

215 would be slightly wider than than 205, so it would look sort of strange...

But I was told that 205 is okay for 17" rim size?
riceboy's rims are running on 205-40-R17 tires too..

Coz I ran the numbers in the tire size calc, 205/40/17 is like 0.2 inches smaller in diameter than a 185/60/15 (23.5in VS 23.7in) .

Circumfence-wise 185/60/17 is 74.6in and 205/40/17 is 73.7in, whereas 215/40/17 gives you 23.8in diameter and 74.7in circumfence.

Thanks, I think they look great too.

I'm not too worried about the whole breakage and cracking issue, beacuse those horror stories stick out like a sore thumb.

And hey, if they do crap out.. Another reason to get new wheels

I guess that makes sense..
I did see someone running 215-40's on a 17" rim, and it looked a little strange. The sidewall was wider than the rim when looking at it from the side...
