Strut mounts/caps 2007 Yaris

A few weeks ago I had a guy run into the back of me inside a car wash. He didn't hit me too hard but a noise developed in the front end of my Yaris. It started making a noise when I pulled into the driveway or drove slowly over dips in the road. I took it to Toyota and they had to replace the strut mounts/caps. The impact only scratched the rear bumper so it was hard to believe that is what caused them to break. If it wasn't that, then the Yaris is very sensitive in the front suspension and that concerns me. I called Toyota Corp. and a couple Toyota dealerships. They all said that there is no way they could have just worn out with only 72,000 miles on the car.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Yaris was introduced in the U.S. in 2007 so if you have a 2005 you might have a valuable car since it didn't exist here for two more years.

Something weird

My god. I came on here to let people know of my problems with my car so that it may help them, not be be made out ot be a liar or weird. It is a weird story but not a lie. How do you think I felt when I was being pulled through the car wash and all of a sudden I get rear ended by an 80 year old man that didn't put his mini van in neutral and hit the gas pedal? The impact threw my Yaris forward into the turning brushes, which automatically stopped but my car bounced back when the front tires hit the next group of tracks in front of me. My point in this post was to point out that as weird as it sounds that impact supposedly caused the front strut mounts to fail and had to be replaced, which cost a lot of money. The point about the bumper being scratched was to state that by looking at such a minor thing caused a lot of damage, point being that it makes me think the car is a piece of crap and I would hate to get in a normal wreck in it.
