The answer depends entirely on what kind of driving the OP does. There is no "best" combo - it depends on the intended goal with the car.

Are you going to race? Just want a little more responsive, sportier feel on the street? Want an OEM feel? Want to pay for adjustability?

No racing, no coilover...just more agressive turn and drop...with more stifness than oem!

The springs determine your ride height, not the shocks/struts.

The next step up from OEM is Tokico Blues. If you want adjustable damping, you have to spend quite a bit more and get the HTS reds, but I think it's overkill for what you are describing, and for those springs.

I have Tien S-tech's with Tokico blues on my '09 hatch. It's a big improvement in stability and cornering, but on rough Michigan roads, it can be a little uncomfortable. If you don't already have one, putting in a rear sway bar at the same time is really easy since you've already taken the back shocks off.

I've done one AutoX event, and I enjoy "spirited" driving during my 45 minute commute, but they're coming off when the winter tires go on to get more ground clearance.

Yeh sounds like he is looking for Tokico Blues for real, that's what I am looking to do next. Just a nice street upgrade.

I don't understand "4 resume" -- but I am happy to ship to Canada.

make sure you read the spec for the rating on how low can u drop the ride height. call the manufacture and ask if it not specific. for example, KYB makes different shocks for stock ride height and lowering spring. or just stick with adjustable coilover.

^ KYB makes only one product for the Yaris.

It is well documented (on here and otherwise) that lowering springs can be used with stock shocks, Tokico blues and reds, KYB and others.
