1zz Throttle Body Question
i found the 1zz throttle body for my 2012 yaris sedan..
i heard there is different types of throttle body sizes from 1zz.... after installing 1zz tb, do i have to fabricate my intake..currently i use drop in cause i do not like intake kit that i used previously..im guessing 1zz tb has bigger diameter and upgrade is a must... |

You can manufacture one if you like, but you can also modify the existing air intake hose, to make it fit the new TB.
For mine, I went to the hardwear store, bought a 2" mechanical drain pipe connection (2.5" would be better, but coudn't find that size) cut off the TB end of the OEM intake hose, then cut the same size from the drain pipe connection, and "glued" them together with some leftover Permatex gasket maker I had. 8 hours later installed the hose, and everything fits like a glove. You can even use it on the regular 1NZ TB. Just tighten the hose clamp more. (Permatex, I seriously put that s**t on everything! )

I just stretched my silicone gasket that cam w/ my intake. It was tight but a little silicone lube and some strength got it to stretch on there. I can't fit any clamps I have on it so i'm just using zip ties. Never any issues as the silicone fitting is tight on there by itself anyways.

Tooter taught me that I could reverse the stock hose and you just need to stretch the TB side to fit it in so that worked well.
Couple of months back I installed a TB spacer and that made the stock hose a bit too long so its pushing into the air box and the lid does not sit in properly. rabbito you are in the land of parts paradise. There's someone over there selling the MAF adapter and you could use hoses and couplers to link both ends. |

Ja, I had to also turn my stock intake hose around and stretch it over the 1zz TB with a proper clamp when I was using it, it worked well \m/
