PCV valve over tight

My pcv valve is sooooo tight i'm afraid I'm going to "tear" or damage it when trying to remove it. All I've tried is the 3/8 ratchet and socket. I thought the engine was going to be pulled out when I tried to loosen the valve. Could I use maybe some penetrating oil, or "heat" from a torch? This s.o.b. is !!!! Thanks for any ideas.......

I just changed mine as well, At first I used a 3/8 ratchet and it felt like it was welded on. Step it up to a 1/2 ratchet with a deep wall socket and it'll be easier.

pcv

I took your advise with 1/2 inch ratchet,Plus a nice steel pipe as a breaker bar, I heard a nice snap and it loosened up. Cleaned it out with gunk and reinstalled it. Thanks for the help.

Checked it for the sedan . Had oil in it . Still hear the rattle from within , so placed it back in . Should it be cleaned or recheck later ?

Dont remove it. Next time you change your oil, spray a bunch of wd-40 in the pcv(before the oil change), and that should clean it just fine.

Mine came off easier than i thought. I checked it and didn't see any build up at all.Did the shake test and it was rattling fine inside. But decided to give it clean up with carb cleaner. I also did the throttle body.

Maybe your turning it the wrong way?

anti sieze lube

Since you have it off now put some anti-sieze on the threads for next time. Not too much just a little dib on the threads and I guarantee it'll come out real easy a year from now.
