are chrome pillars gorgeous or tacky? what about...

i'm thinkin bout getting chrome pillars for my yaris "S". I can't figure if it's sooo clean or kinda tacky (like u wanna make a yaris look luxurious).

what about chrome side mirror cover?

what about chrome fog light trim?

what about chrome headlight/taillight trim?

what about chrome door handles (outside)

no, i'm not obsessed with chrome, i just want something to match if i add it, not just 1 piece of chrome outta nowhere.

also, what do yall think bout the blue interior light kit or fender vents?

i'm just mentally photoshopping these add-ons.. i'm actually scared sh*tless that all of these most of these things are adhesive and I might get something crooked.. please advise

The only thing that would match IMHO would be some silver accents in the interior to match the silver center column. However, I would recommend jut drive the car as it is and some design ideas will come to you. The only thing I did to my car was some tint and it improved A LOT!! For the time being, that's the only thing I'll do it.

Some people are into the black/chrome look. I see people driving Chrysler 300s with more bling on them than 50 cent! Maybe a black Yaris with a ton of chrome trim wouldn't look too bad, and that is a BIG maybe.

Dare I say I got the idea first from seeing a 300 before I went bananas on Ebay? Mine's gonna be Nautical Blue, the deep blue. I thought the deep blue and the chrome would be a nice contrast but I think crazy sometimes

chrome can be done nice.. it's just a matter of how it's matched up w/ the rest of the car... there's a yaris sedan sitting in the toyota canada parking lot w/ 17" chrome moon's and it looks quite nice... i'll see if i can pics later...

Its all a matter of personal taste. Its funny, a ton of people around here go with the 15" black racing rims, HID, 6" exhaust tips - all things youd see on a 10 year old civic driven by some kid with his hat on sideways that thinks hes a race car driver, everyones definition of "ricer" but everyones down on chrome. You cant win with getting opinions, the whole idea of customization is doing something different than the next guy, not following everyone elses trend or ideas. Theres some real shit looking cars in mags that have 60grand worth of work into them so I wouldnt worry about putting a few bucks worth of fake chrome on your ride. Chrome is fine when its tastefull, just dont go out and buy the double blade chrome wipers...

Chrome is for pimp. Pimps are bad.

That's it.

so's spending a ton of cash on Carbon and racing wheels to lighten up a 16 second Yaris.

pimp is alright but leave the 'cheeseballs' on the shelf.

Hey, if it looks close to stock on the outside its a sleeper. Its when you throw the coke can exhaust, body kit and wing on it... THEN its a ricer. Big difference.
