Brake Light without Brakes?

I've been wondering if there is anyway to turn on your brake light without hitting the brakes, like by using a button or switch. Mainly, this would be used to get people off of your butt. I am not too good with electronics though, eh. Does anyone thing this would be a good idea? or know how? thanks

Sweet sounds like it's worth trying!

but if you warn them you miss out on the "oh shit" face they make when you downshift and hit the ebrake..

maybe its just LA, but tapping on your brakes around here usually just makes them flash their highs or follow closer.

i think i'd rather go for the oh shit face instead... if you're going to potentially get hit anyway you might as well go out with a bang

Just use your left foot to lightly tap the brake pedal (brakelights on without actually engaging the brakes) without lifting your right foot. Takes a bit of getting used to (unusual move for a non-racer ) but it usually does the trick.

I'm sure it'll take a person of super special nature to slam on the brakes to the point where it'll cause an accident, instead of trying to push the brake pedal a few fractions of an inch to cause the lights to kick on.

I did that thing back in the day when I still have my 00 audi a4.... it only came a single rear foglight from the factory but the circuit is actually ready for both side ....so I put another bulb on the other side and got myself a dual red rear foglights ....

tested it on the road for a bunch of times with a no guilty pleasure ..those fookers need to get off mi arse ....

Cause you have to wire stuff. Wires hate me.
