Megan exhaust question

I just finished installing a Megan exhaust on my 09 LB and am having a problem with it knocking against the coil spring plate at idle. Anyone else have this problem and/or know of a solution?

Yes it seems to be lined/bolted up perfectly with the mid-pipe but no matter how I adjust the hangers so it won't hit, it seems to drift back into place after a few minutes of driving and starts to rattle against the spring plate again. Should I try bending the hangers on the muffler?

You might want to take it to a muffler shop and have them weld a bracket to pull it over to the left just a hair. I had that same problem. It tapped just at Idle. A $50.00 weld job fixed it for me. Don't pull it too far or your exhaust will be crooked. I was told when I bought it that if my car was lowered it'd tap, and it did. Shop around for prices, one quote I got was for $100.00. Hope this helps.

I have the Megan knock too, but not at idle, only on rough road. Inlet pipe hits the lower spring cup. I used a rubber bungee to pull the front hanger over to the drivers side. Hooks go round bracket underneath in middle. Called Megan - they said they didn't know of any issues with this install. I told them I'd email them some pics (if it ever stops raining). Other than the fit problem love the sound and car is surely quicker. 09' LB

im on eibach prokits now and i find on turns the megan muffler will swing and hit the coil spring on the passenger side in the rear.....

i was puting on my winter wheels/tires last night and could clearly see a shiny rub-mark on my otherwise filthy muffler...

Oh well after 5 years and paid my car, I started dressing it up. About this same issue with megan, it is a great exhaust but that vibration that you can hear inside is loud..I felt like a harley davidson bike is standing at the back of my car that is idling. Any idea what to do..???

I also wasn't a fan of the Megan exhaust due to the single exhaust hanger only on the one side causing the muffler to hang slightly angled.
