A guy in Red Deer Alberta 1.2 Million Kms on a '82 Corolla !
Did you guys hear about this guy that has a 1982 Toyota Corolla with 1.2 Million Kilometres ?!...from Red Deer in Alberta, Canada

745,680 miles! I know a few people with old ford that have over a million miles on the original internals, granted they have no power left in them due to the piston rings not sealing, but they still run on flat ground, just not up hills.

In 2006 I was driving from Calgary to Edmonton and spent the night in Red Deer. If I remember correctly, Red Deer is the largest town along that drive...so if someone wanted to participate in an activity not available in Red Deer, they'd likely have to drive to either Calgary or Edmonton (unless the activity required a more rural location...like hunting). Might add up to quite a few miles over the years just re that issue. A somewhat recent newspaper article in my area featured an Accord owner trading in his 10 year old Accord with about 40K more miles than the Corrolla owner has on his car. I think 30 years vs. 10 years (especially if the guy lives in Red Deer year round) is far more impressive .
