Damn Fix-It Ticket
Okay, so I was driving back Sacramento (Rancho Cordova), doing 60 mph in the slow lane. Suddenly, red and blue behind me. Some asswipe on her rag of a CHP is pulling me over. I pull over and she says, "Your tint is a little dark." Then she proceeds to writing me the ticket, never measures how dark my tint is. Yeah I know I have tinted windows, but my rant is why she pulls me over when I'm minding my own business doing only 60 mph in the slow lane when there are countless of people speeding (70-80 mph) passing me up. WTF is that shit!? Why doesn't the CHP pull over people who are actually doing something wrong and dangerous. Fuckin bullshit. I get people riding my ass and cutting me off. I don't see them getting pulled over. I see Mustangs and Camero's, along with other American cars with tint darker than my shit. I don't see them getting pulled over, nor do I really find it necessary to pull them or anyone else with tint over. Fuckin pull over the idiots who don't know how to drive, gah-damn CHP. And why is it always some ass on her rag that pulls me over for fix it tickets (previous one was in my GTI)!? A male CHP pulled up behind her, and talks to her. Then I see him shake his head and leave (I'm assuming he was shaking his head because this was such a lame ass reason to pull someone over).
Also, ever heard that stereotype that women tend to write better than guys? Well that's not true or the officer who pulled me over is a transvestite because she can't write for shit. I had to look it up and call people in order to know where I'm to send the citation to. FUCK! |

My friend got a fix it ticket for his tint too. He just payed the fine lol and kept driving. I think his fine was liek 130. And if he removed the tint the fine would be reduced to 70 so he just said the heck with it and paid the full amount.

The other officer was probably shaking is head thinking "Dumb ricer, when will they learn"
Just kidding man. So were you driving in Sacramento, or back to Sac? If you were on I-80 near Davis I SOOOOO know what CHP you're talking about. She's gotten me twice in my BMW. Last one was for going 90, despite the fact I was following traffic and had cars in front of me and behind me doing the exact same speed. |

I'm suppose to remove the illegal part, which is the front windows. I believe the legal limit is 70%, which is really nothing. It's cool, I'll be able to remove it without that much of a problem.

I was in Rancho Cordova, so pretty far away from Davis. It was a female officer in a white CHP Crown Vic. |

Now time to drink my Robitussin since I just got sick. Wooo-hooo, such a great week for me. Not to mention that yesterday was the anniversary of when my dad went into a coma.

make sure the ticket has "correctable" checked. if it's marked "non correctable" you pay the ticket but do NOT have to fix anything.

I got a "hey buddy that aint legal in Alberta" in my first month of living here.
I pulled into a parking spot in front of a pub, as I got out some cop car slowly rolls in behind me and say's "I see the Ontario plates, just wanted to let you know that tint in the front is illegal here." My first though was damn here we go a ticket already. Next he says "Ya I'm from Ontario myself so I see it all the time" Anyway he was cool and when I asked what I should do he say's "you probably won't have a problem around here unless you get pulled over by some bitch ass cop" I couldn't help but laugh. |

peal it.... get it signed off.... then pay the $50 to have them retinted... it is cheeper than just paying the ticket
I just pay the ticket and leave the tint.... I have had many tint tickets on many different cars.... they never bothered me in the yaris or the xb

I agree with black yaris. If the ticket isnt that high i would jsut pay the fine and keep driving the car like most poeple do. ANd in the future if you see a cop just roll down your front windows =) This is what i did on my acura. Or jus topen the moon roof it made my tint look much much lighter. But thats not a option in the yaris heh.
