WEAPON R SPORT SEATS in my CAR!!

Ok, I won't be able to take pictures until tonight, but the boys are Weapon R did some custom seat brackets and put a set of their black/graphite sport seats in the Yaris.

The seats are not as firm as the stockers, and I sit about an inch lower in the car. There is a HUGE increase in lateral support with the side and shoulder bolsters and the seat are actually more comfortable than the stockers. The stock seats are so firm they tranfer all of the shock from the MR coil-overs right to my back.

I have noticed the biggest improvement when thrashing the car in the twisties as I am able to sit securely in the seat without sliding all around and trying to brace myself on anything bolted down.

The biggest improvement is how many hot chicks cling to me and want rides in my car!! NOT!

Pics to follow!

Sweet. The seat position in a Yaris could handle being a little lower...

what did you do about the airbag sensor when you replaced the passenger seat?

Yeah, that's the current work around... we need to measure how the sensor works first and then we'll come up with a way to close the circuit or make a switch for the passenger seat.

i'd be interested to know what you end up doing - i want to put sparco seats in, but not at the expense of not having a passenger airbag. There has to be a way to make it always armed or something - make sure you post your findings!!

our seats have a weight sensor. the more the passenger weights, the harder the airbag is deployed. having the airbag deploy at full force all the time could be dangerous for smaller passengers ... i dont have any suggestions on how to make this work safely ... so im no help...

edit - heres more info

wow, I did not know that it actually has different weight settings. Thank you for that information.

I have never had/nor probably will i have a child in the seat, No one has ever sat in the backseat even - only person in the passenger seat is my gf and maybe a friend or two here or there...So if I could find a way to set up that sensor to think that there was always an adult sitting there - i'd be happy to throw some sparcos in there and know the bag will still go off...
