no, but i might.... hmm, of course it would really suck if something whacked it going down the road and all your oil drained out.... of course, i'd hate to have something get up there and whack it anyway

I have seen them before used on lots of the other message boards I belong to, all with great results. I plan on getting one soon, as I am already coming up on 3k miles.

They work good for a while but one on my work truck leaks after only 2 summers...

Crap, thats exactly what I didnt want to hear.

Thats is actually the first negative I have read on the valves though.

Im still going to give it a go, if anything, I can always switch back.

I found some old discount codes on other forums, but they're expired, so I emailed the company to see about getting a new code. I'll post it if they give me one.

FRAM also has a similar drain called SureDrain. Although, I cannot find a link other then the installation guide. Kinda weird. I do see a bunch of car forums that talk about it tho. This is the only place I can find it for sale. The FRAM plug doesnt stick out as much when not being used.

Thanks for sharing that.. it looks like a very simple idea, and its much less then the Fumoto Valve mentioned above.

The Fumoto valve rocks! We have one on our Subaru and it makes oil chages that much faster and cleaner. I'd recommend it. To the person who had a leaking one, was it leaking from the crush washer or the valve itself?

The valve itself

It's only a small leak (couple drops a day) but at any time you look at the valve you can see a drop of oil hanging from it...

My guess it there was grit or something in the pan that damaged the seat of the valve when it was opened and closed again.
From what I understand they are a teflon or nylon sealed ball valve and the leak is most likely between the ball and the nylon seal...
We have one on the F150, and 3 other on other cars. So far only the F-150 leaks but it's also used every 2 months.

i like the fram one better cause you have to have the tube connector for it to open. cause i don't want some ahole crawling under my car and draining the oil by simply pulling the valve release, or accidently getting an animal stuck under the car while driving and it releases the valve as it is dragged along(sry for the dramatic sentence but Im in tennessee for god sakes and raccoons love yotas)

well i asked around today and was told that the fram one was pulled and is no longer made because they were having problems with them leaking

I heard back from the manufacturer

Our part #F103 (size 12mm-1.25) is a suitable application for 2007 Toyota Yaris liftback w/1.5L engine. The crush washer will be provided with the valve.

but no word on the discount code yet, I emailed them again and asked about giving Yarisworld a discount.
