2011 Yaris Antenna Base Broken

Hi everyone! New poster here. We have a 2011 Yaris 2 door hatchback.

My wife was leaving for work early the other day and for some reason the garage door only opened halfway. Her antenna found that out and snapped off.

From what I see looking online, it seems like the antenna took a piece of the base with it when it snapped (the metal piece that I can unscrew from the antenna in the third photo below).

All that's left in the base on the roof is a red wire sticking out.

I have a feeling we will need to replace the base, is that right? Or is there a way I can connect the wire back to the metal piece in the base (was it soldered on?) and then connect the antenna back in?
