5 months and 3 weeks... got it!

I picked up my new Yaris liftback at the dealer yesterday. It's exactly what I wanted, so I guess it was almost worth the wait. It drives and handles great. Loved having the extra illumination from the fog lights while coming home in the rain. The Rostra cruise control works perfectly. Easy to manuever and park. No complaints whatsoever about the car.

I didn't get a great deal, but I think I got a fair deal. My payment is less than $300 a month and I plan to pay this baby off early.

Looks good, mine didnt come with Cruise and Keyless even as an added option, Dealer couldnt even order them...

But now if I went back, I could get, but at a huge pricetag.

congratulations!! my wifes is very similar to yours, except in black sand pearl and an automatic. we also thought the 7-spoke alloys were quite handsome, and since the dealership threw them in for 3 flat, we couldnt resist. we also waited for ours, 14 weeks to be exact, since we wanted the side airbags. hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours...

Just got myself a black yaris about a week ago~ Lovin' the lil guy! Some people laugh at its "smallness", but are surprised by how roomy it actually is (I think alot of that feel has to do with the elevated seating and higher ceiling). I enjoy the other ergonomic options... like those water bottle holders on the doors :)

Congratulations Boris, you look pretty happy in pic!

hotdyegrl, I got a black one too, about a month ago. A few people laughed at me too but they stopped when I told them about the gas mileage--also, I've noticed other drivers stop snickering when they see how quick it is...

This is actually the first I've liked enough to give a name to--I call it Kurokoma which is Japanese for "black pony." Does anyone else name their cars?

Nice ride!
Cruise Control!? Oh so Nice~!!!
Keyless entry??? Is that like you keep the keys in your pocket and just walk up to the car and it auto unlocks(is there another name for it?) or the more traditional you hit a button and it unlocks.

Dang~!!! 5 Months!?! I must have a real good friend, because he found me my car the day I ordered it... Lucky me~!!!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I certainly didn't intend to wait this long, but once I got to four months, I figured I'd just hang on.

After driving this great little car for nearly three days now, I'm glad I did. Really enjoying it!

Yeah, it's the traditional way. Lock, unlock, and panic buttons are built right into the key. It's not a security system, but it's a nice feature to have.
