Again, this isn't going to help you, but there's no deadline for when a recall has to be done. You can get it done ten years from now, and it'll still be free. I've been ignoring those "urgent recall" cards that I've been getting in the mail. It's not like the passenger airbag is going to spontaneously go off. It'll only go off if an adult is sitting in the front passenger seat at the time of an accident. I don't understand why the whole dash would have to be pulled out. Based on what I've seen in YouTube videos, they just need to go behind the glovebox (just like if you were changing out the cabin air filter). Wonder if they used your car as a training opportunity for the kid that does oil changes. Anyway, keep us updated.
